You are looking at a very cool 2 comic lot. New Mutants Special Edition 1 + X-Men Annual 9.These are a 8.0 and a 9.0, bothsignature series books signed by Arthur Adams. The New Mutants is a more rare News Stand Edition. I remember when the New Mutants came out in 1985. (Totally dating myself). Comics were .65 at the time. I thought, what the heck are they trying to pull? 2 1/2 time regular cover price? Why? As I took a closer look, I realized it was a double sized issue with a breathtaking wraparound cover. This may have been the first time this was done? At least one of the first one\'s I\'d seen. Art Adams incredibly detailed art. How does he fit all that in each panel? In each page? He\'s been doing it for 36 years now. Incredible. I\'ve always thought of this book as part one of their Asgard adventure. The 2nd part is X-Men Annual 9 (1985). As I continued to read it, I thought to myself, yeah this might be worth the price. Maybe. Probably. Definitely. Alright. Cha-ching. Pay the man. I have never bought an Art Adams book that I have been unhappy with. He always delivers. He and Chris Claremont continued the story in X-Men Annual 9. This drew the X-Men to Asgard to rescue their students, The New Mutants. Professor X probably grounded them for this.There have ever been 188 copies of New Mutants Special Edition 1 graded in total. 5 in a 8.0. 4 signature series.Alright. Just so we\'re clear. I have the only New Mutants Special Edition 1 (News Stand) in a 8.0, with Arthur Adams signature on the cover.
