This coin is2 inches in diameter with epoxy on both sides. The name Area 82 was created non-offically by members seeing restricted area and no one knew what was going in/out the area...the 82nd Airborne just happened to be assigned on Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan around this time got its name after the imfamous UFO Area 51 Top Secret facility, and was called Area 82.

Afghanistan Regional OperationsCryptologic Center (A-ROCC)- Established in October 2009 and fully operational in theWinter of 2010. The center was closed somewhere before July 1, 2021, when theUS left Bagram Airfield.- The A-ROCC was located in 17,000 square-foot office spacesat Area 82 of Bagram Airfield north of Kabul in Afghanistan.- Over 250 employees, 120 of whom linguists (in 2009),includingpersonnel from all countries participatingin theAfghanistanSIGINT Coalition(AFSC).- Supported US and Coalition forces throughout Afghanistan.
