This magnificent antique white & ecru lace tablecloth was completely hand-made. It dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's when figural designs were included in cutwork white on white embroidered tablecloths. It features needle lace cutwork, eyelet embroidery, knotting raised decorative motifs . I believe this table cloth is of Italian or French origin.There are interesting finely stitched ecru lace animals including horses, dogs, elephants and swans.An amazing example of a highly- skilled, creative embroiderer!
