Susan Point hascreated a 20" diameter, limited edition, sandblasted, copper center, glass spindle whorlconsisting of 15-mm glass with a carved edge. This piece was craftedexclusively for Deschutes Gallery in Bend, Oregon, depicting salmon & osprey over theDeschutes River.
The Glass mounts onto a marble finish wood base that securelylocks onto wall for a clean finish.
Center piece is in copper.The edition number is 6 /12
Also, comes with an autograph book of the Coast Salish book by Susan Point.

Susan has immersed herself in the study of traditionalCoast Salish art, and emerge with a language of design both authentic yetvibrantly contemporary. As well aspracticing traditional motifs, Susan also expresses her own personalstyle.

Susan initially began producing fine art in preciousmetals, serigraphs, woodblock prints and acrylic paintings. Her fine art pieces can be found incollections worldwide. Susan’s images arealso sought after by corporate sector for logos and sensitive Environmentalissues. In 1990, she began exploringand creating large scale public art in various mediums; some of those mediumsbeing stainless steel, glass, bronze, concrete, wood, terra cotta and fortoncasting. Her work in a large scale hassince led to collaboration with developers and architects; integrating her artinto sights at the design stage.

After several projects were realized, it was obvious Susanwas leaving a Coast Salish footprint upon the land. Susan’s large scale works welcome visitors atthe Vancouver International Airport as well as public buildings and corporatedevelopments on both sides of the Canada/U.S. borders paying tribute to theFirst People’s of these countries and reminding us of these areas rich inculture history. Susan is realizing hervision, which will, no doubt, inspire artists and admirers for generations tocome.
