Spanning 6.5 ft. long, this is a large, vintage mid-century modern colorful Easter Island Tiki mosaic with 3 large Moai (Stone Gods), a volcano and lightning. This is a beautiful and highly stylized piece, purchased a decade ago from the original owner in Pacific Palisades, CA.

These now super-rare mosaics were originally produced as kits (not dissimilar to paint-by-numbers) in the mid 1950s - and early ‘60s. This particular mosaic is HUGE and stunning - a statement piece for any tiki lover or mid-century modern (MCM) aficionado.

Before you try to haggle on the price: please know the exact same one (color variant) sold for $6900 at sale last year. The value of this super rare piece is only increasing. A CROWN JEWEL FOR ANY TIKI COLLECTOR.

It is QUITE HEAVY! Anyone buying should know that transport of this piece is a two person job + a truck or large SUV that can hold an almost 7 foot long heavy ceramic piece!! Movers blankets recommended.

Condition:

Very Good. There are a few small tiles missing (approx 4-5) and some brown smudges on a few of the tiles that were on the original at time of purchase. The smudges could be sanded off easily if preferred. None of this is really noticeable unless you are up close.
