A Truly Remarkable, Original Type 1 Historical Photograph. The crew of the USS Arizona Battleship pose with with President Herbert Hoover (center front) in March, 1931. This photo was taken just before President Hoover took a vacation to the Caribbean, visiting both Puerto Rico & The Virgin Islands aboard the USS Arizona. The University of Arizona is the only source I have found with another example of this photograph, however theirs is 6-1/4” x 5”. This is from the personal collection of Herbert Hoover & Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Secret Service Agent, Paul M. Hart (who is pictured just behind Hoover).
