Wonderful Art Nouveau 18K Solid Gold Clover Shamrock Diamonds Sapphires Vesta Case Pill Box ?! French Import Marks 1919-1993 ! Russian ?! Poinçon or Charançon : Gold punch (mark) weevil, a French import mark for gold that is a minimum of 18K which was applied between 1919 to 1993, as can be observed in the second to last image which includes a serial number, a tradition reserved for very high quality solid gold jewels and items. This extraordinary vesta weighs approximately 24.2 grams. This beautiful vesta is approximately 4.6 cm (1 13/16 inches) x 4.1 cm (1 9.5/16 inches) in dimensions. Even though the import marks are of a later date the art jeweled piece is undeniably Art Nouveau, and judging by the high quality most likely since it is not French, would be of Russian origin. The clover or shamrock is comprised of four tear drop Sapphires and three and a half old mine cut diamonds since the center diamond in the clover seems to be half missing ?! Another most beautiful cabochon Sapphire stands out at the vesta opening edge! The overall condition is beautiful as can be clearly observed in the provided images. Sapphires reflect the heavens, while diamonds are reflective of eternity, while clovers represent good fortune thus the symbolism of the entire beauty is pure and heavenly fortune !
