This remarkable textile is French and dates 1860-1880 ~ Look at the wonderful cherubs playing many musical instruments !! There is a ground stripe pattern in a pale blue and the cherub and floral are in a dark blue ~ Melt my heart ~ ~The fabric is both roller printed and hand block printed ~ this textile would have adorned a bed , all of those years ago! ~*~ The top still has many of the original rings!! This textile would have hung from a corona and used as a bedding curtain, can you imagine the bed!!! The fabric used in just remarkable. There is a cotton fringe trim, I believe added at a later date. The fabric is 100% cotton, medium weight . The ground tone is a pinky flesh tone, with reds, pinks, faded yellow and deep dark sienna purple ~ STUNING and ideal for any period interior ~( E B01
MEASUREMENTS: This curtain measures 93 inches wide by 63 inches long ~CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. It's in lovely condition , with a small patch, some small marks Item Number: E2001
