ARCHANGELS Strange Tales #2 Man-Thing Cover Art by Neal Adams

Marvel Comics, 1998 Is this cover WAY COOL, or what? Two of Marvel's major bad boys on one superb original cover artwork for Strange Tales #2 (Marvel Comics, 1998) by the living legend himself, Neal Adams (pencils, inks and full mixed media colors). The Man-Thing comes face-to-face with you and the Werewolf by Night, who frantically tries to claw his way free from his icy prison with his full blood thirsty rage reflected eerily in the huge full blood moon orbs that are the Man-Things eyes.

And, not only did Neal fully color this great piece in mixed media, but he also added a really cool 3-D effect in the Man-Thing's eyes by using a stat of the Werewolf's gapping fanged maw, running them through a blood-red filter and placing each precisely in the circular area of the swamp monster's eye sockets. Quite innovative, as you would expect from a Neal Adams piece.

Artwork is in excellent condition with some minor creasing at corners. Image area measures approx. 10.25" x 16." and is signed by Neal at bottom left corner.
