We are honored to be part of the studio gallery program, which means we can offer you amazing Peanuts animation art direct from the studio vaults. And this piece, based on the characters by Charles Schultz is a knock-out! We were given this by the studio. It was recently returned to the studio by Evert Brown (the Peanuts Production Designer for decades) who used it in the 1990's for presentations.
This is of course the rarest Peanuts art there is - this hand-painted cel is almost over 57 years old! These arealmost impossible to findsimply the most sought after cels from the Peanuts. It of course features Lucy at the iconic Psychiatrist booth that Charlie Brown comes to for advice and realizes he is afraid of everything. We've shown a screen-capture above of when the cel setup appears in the film at approximately the 5:25 mark!

The 2 Lucy cels (on for her mouth and one for the rest of her) are full cels, while the cel of Charlie Brown has been trimmed at the bottom. The background is colored paper with a marker drawing. There are pin holes in the cornersNote: one of the internal sales people at Sopwith incorrectly put "1963" as the copyright date in the past. Thereleasedate is "1965."
The artwork is 12-field animation so approximately 10.5" x 12.5" for the untrimmed cels.
