- Description: The back of the mat is stamped in black ink andthe numbers 1 and 96 are handwritten in red pencil to fill in the respective spaces.It reads:

“Print No.1 of Set No. 96 of Portfolio Two by Ansel Adams,1950 Reproduction Rights Reserved.”

- Provenance: This print, mounted on its original mat, was agift from Mr. Ansel Adams to a direct assistant of Dr. Edwin H. Land, co-founder ofthe Polaroid Corporation. Mr. Adams and Dr. Land collaborated extensively overmany years. His assistant facilitated communication between these two distinguishedmen. I obtained it directly from his assistant.
