You are offerding on a beautiful art pottery vase or jug produced by Ohio artist/potter George Hageman. This is about 8 3/8 inches tall, 4 inches in diameter at the base and the opening at the top is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. This weighs just a little over 3 pounds and is in excellent condition.

George Hageman has displayed his pottery at numerous locations throughout Ohio over the years including the Springfield Museum of Art, \"Tomoko Parry: Drawings & George Hageman: CeramicsApr 21-May 27, 2001\", Sinclair Community College (where George taught pottery), from May 1976 edition of Ceramics Monthly - an exhibition at Studio San Giuseppe of the College o[ Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, featured works by five Ohio artist craftsmen. Included in the January 18 through February 15 event were ceramics by George Hageman and glass forms by Dominick Labino.

Here\'s an excerpt from Craft Horizons, October 1975. \"GEORGE HAGEMAN, Egner Fine Arts Gallery, Findlay College, Ohio; February 9- March 15 George Hageman\'s ceramic imagery is subtly surrealistic. One series of wall-mounted pieces depicts human faces. Another group consists of boot/foot images. Surfaces vary from bone-dry engobes to pearlescent low-fire glazes. —DOUGLAS SALVESO\"

George is a well known potter and teacher in and around Ohio and has taught pottery at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio for a number of years. George is now retired.
