Bear was acquired several years ago in Eagle River, Wisconsin at a local seasonal chainsaw carving event. No makers mark or identifying marks
The surface of the bear is as rough as you would expect a chainsawed piece of wood to be. The type of paint used, in brown and black, is unknown. Many pieces of carvings like this has to be sealed before being painted so not sure what was used.
I do not know the type of wood either. The nose area and the bottom of the bear appear to be bare wood.
Very heavy piece (weighs approximately 16 pounds) & very picky and/or sharp as most unfinished wood is.
