Here is an absolutely lovely and very rare find obtained through an old established Charleston family estate sale, an 11 1/2 inch diameter concave charger approximately 1 7/8\'s inch deep, hailing from the early to mid-nineteenth century and hand decorated and gold gilded. This fine Austria porcelain bowl or charger is in wonderful condition commensurate with it\'s age, with only a bit of loss to the gold gilt on it\'s inner most gold overlay border design as it\'s only issue and is marked both Austria and with the \"beehive\" shield mark as shown. The gold gilt loss is in the central medallion above the putti and the two furthermost right maidens, in the upper right quadrant but because of the nature of the design, really does not detract from the presentation of the piece. The remaining gold decoration and it\'s gorgeous figural design are free of any loss or damage. Again this delightful and hard to find porcelain large charger with maidens, putti and gold gilt overlay design is free of any cracks, chips or hairlines and is shown clearly in my attached pictures.
