Antique 1800\'s French Porcelain Lg Covered Serving Tureen & Platter Artichoke Finial
- Up for sale is this OUTSTANDING antique fine porcelain covered tureen, casserole or soupier set with a larger serving platter
- All a matching pattern, made of very thick white porcelain
- Hand painted Burgundy Red and gold stripes encircle the main white oval body of the tureen and platter, as well as the oval lid
- The very precisely sculpted handles are well gilt over floral decoration in relief
- The lid is topped by a beautifully detailed gilt artichoke finial
- French in origin from the mid/second half of the 19th century
- All pieces are unmarked, except for some underglaze handwritten numbers on the underside of the platter - 22 (in fancier script), 74 and 4PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE FOR MORE PHOTOS!

- The set Weighs about 16 lbs. 4 oz.
- Condition: Very Good overall; Intact with no major issues whatsoever! Please see photos below. Some slight manufacturing imperfections, notably on the gilding. One such imperfection on the platter rim edge. A tiny hard to notice surface flake on the underside of one of the tureen handles. As a matter of fact all these \"faults\" are most common on antique porcelain and discernible upon a very close inspection and are listed here for utmost accuracy.
