*** 18th Century Hurdy Gurdy attributed to Pierre Louvet ****:
$8500.00

The item up for sale is an ancient hurdy gurdy attributed to Pierre Louvet (1735 - 1799). Pierre Louvet was the Stradivarius of the Vielle, and is still considered to have produced some of the finest hurdy gurdies ever made. The instrument is in incredible condition given its age, was repaired by Pimpard in 1924, and has recently been completely restored by Wolfgang Weschelbaumer, considered by many to be the finest hurdy gurdy maker in the world today (The appraisal noted below was for the instrument prior to repairs) It plays beautifully, and has a lovely baroque tone.
As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, and best of luck offerding!
