No International Sales.......This was their FIRST original chalkboard typemenu used in TGI FRIDAY\'S.......It is a two sided vintage originalmenu it features theirwine list on one side andentree selections on the other side. It is made to resemble a chalkboard and has a durable real wood framebordering it. It features a nice large TGI FRIDAY\'S logo on it.This menu is from their firstDallas, Texas restaurant that was opened in 1972 in theold town section of Dallas.......Here is the time line for the TGI FRIDAY\'S restaurants start-up openings.........
1965...First TGI FRIDAY\'S opens in New York City at the corner of first ave. and 63rd street. Their first menu used as noted above was the chalkboard.
1970....TGI FRIDAY\'S MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE was their second location.....using the chalkboard type menu.
1972...TGI FRIDAY\'S opens in DALLAS, TEXAS in the spring of 1972 also using chalkboard menu \"THIS MENU IS FROM THIS DALLAS LOCATION\".
They grew expedentially from 1972 to the present date becoming one of Americas favorite dining, drinking, and \"people meeting\" places....They first iniated their \"favorite appetizer selections\" begining in 1974. Some of you will remember their first and most successful andall time favorite.....\"LOADED POTATO SKINS\"......As the menu and drinkselections started growing it necessiated increasing their menu size on or about the mid 70\'s. The newmenu changed to amultiple page menuusing laminated light weight cardboard i.e. cardstock.
Thesechalkboard firstTGI FRIDAY\'S original menus very seldom become available for salemost were destroyed over the yearsor are in private collections as this one was. It really shows-off nicely with the large TGI FRIDAY\'S logo on it.It is in good original condition.....All the permanentapplied type lettering on the overlay sheetis in vg originalclear and cleancondition.It is a nice display size 11 1/2 x 8 1/2 inchesexcellent for wall, shelf, desk or wherever your favorite display location is.
