Original 1960s Braun HL1 Desk Fan

Multiwind table fan was conceived by Reinhold Weiss under the design directorship of Dieter Rams. It\'s a particularly ingenious design, using a spinning slotted cylinder to produce a surprisingly strong gust of cool air in two optional speed settings. The Braun HL1 was made famous by its apparition in the film \'Blade Runner\' , but it is also one of the most knownr Braun design. It is of excellent quality and design. There is a HL 1 in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York.

The motor casing is made of off white plastic and steel casing, with a chrome ring separating the motor casing from the fan head.
The fan wind projection can be oriented manually by turning the right side of the fan (when the engine is located) .The blades are made of cream plastic and protected by a Perspex / Lucite cover.

A fantastic addition to a modern interior and a must for the collector

Runs perfectly, 2 speeds, very good condition, light overall
wear, at the back of the lucite cover, next to
the motor housing, some very small hairlines along edge
probably from heat of engine (picture 5)
Height 14 cm / 5,5\"
Width: 13.5 cm / 5.3\"
