On the occasion of the new millennium, here is the first porcelain collector\'s doll created by Jean-Paul Gaultier from top to toe. A pedigree beauty and a woman of character, sky blue eyes, dressed to reproduce faithfully the wedding gown of his Spring - Summer 1999 Haute Couture collection right down to the last detail. Jean-Paul supervised every facet of it.
A limited edition symbolic of the year 2000, this doll is limited to 500 for the whole world. Each doll is numbered and accompanied by it\'s COA. Once the 500th item was made, the original sculpture as well as the mould was destroyed before a court officer. Sculpture by Frederic Beaudouin in collaboration with Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Made by hand inminiature accordance with the art of Haute Couture and corsetry, this dress uses the same materials as the original dress: satin, girdle, fabric and silk chiffon.
The foot of the dress is covered in more than a dozen ostrich feathers, each of them cut out and glued entirely by hand on to a silk organza skirt: this work, in particular, takes more than 15 hours. The mess fan is covered in rosebuds, just like the original model.
Her redmohair wig is made and styled by hand in only the French wigmaker\'s studio for artistic dolls and unique items.
She comes in her original shipper box with Mundia tape on it.
She has her original hang tag on her
She was displayed in a mansion home in Naples, FL. Adult collector.
No breaks, repairs, cracks, stains or tears. The only marks I can find look like they are from the fan rubbing on her hand and arm and are slight green lines as shown in the photos. They may come off. Her silk scarf is wrinkled from storage and her ostrich feathers and wig are a bit mussed from being stored in her box as well.
Engrave signed on her back shoulder.
Comes on a stand.
Comes with everything seen in the photos, plus a magazine article and (3) 8x10 photos of her.
Come from a smoke free, pet free,child free home.
The shipping charges reflect the rather large box she comes in.
She has always been away from sunlight, always kept in air conditioning and never around odors.
She was original purchased in 2000 for $3,200.00 and only one owner.
