These packages of SILVER ALUMINUM tinsel are NOS / NEW OLD STOCK recently unearthed in defunct shops in rural East German villages. If you grew up in the Eastern sector of Communist Germany you very likely had SILVER ALUMINUM tinsel on your tree as most of it was made there and that is where we find unused stocks of LEAD TINSEL. The packages are bright colored and some have faded, the tinsel is unused and the boxes may be shopworn and flattened from years of storage. The SILVER ALUMINUM tinsel is no longer produced, it\'s all that tacky plastic / Mylar stuff which slithers off the tree branches when your back is turned. SILVER ALUMINUM tinsel is loads better on the tree and is more attractive than modern Mylar tinsel.
