FOUR (4) VINTAGE 1920\'S PUNG CHOWBLACK/WHITE PYRALINMAH JONGG TILESListed for sale are (4) four Vintage 1920\'s Pung Chow Black/White Pyralin (Celluloid) Mah Jongg Tiles. These Pyralin tiles are in very nice condition with a nice creamy white face and a black back color. Although the tiles probably date to the 1920\'s, they are in very nice condition. The tiles were produced by the Pung Chow Company of New York and are believed to be from the early 1920\'s. The Pung Chow Company experienced a short history. It was incorporated in 1923 and declared bankruptcy a couple of years later in 1925. This history pretty well dates these tiles.
The tiles are standard for Pung Chow and these are some of the larger versions of the two common sizes. Pung Chow made a few different sizes in this Pyralin tile and usually differ in length, width & thickness. Pung Chow was one of the first manufacturers of Mah Jong sets in the 1920\'s and made a quality tile with a nice smooth feel. The tiles and paint are in nice condition especially considering that they are close to 90-95 years old. Please look closely at the photos and judge the condition for yourself.
