$925.00

Description:

These great double entrance doors were salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian.

They are made of oak and are unpainted.

They are veneered but the veneer is in pretty good shape.

Each door has glass at the top, both should be replaced.

There is a raised panel at the bottom.

The fronts are very ornate, the glass and panels are framed in egg and dart molding.

There is a shelf below each glass.

There are great carved festoons with bellflowers above the glass.

The hinges will need to be replaced.

They measure 48 inches wide together, 83.75 tall and almost 2 inches thick.

Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. The astrigal or divider molding was cut in the middle. 1 piece of egg and dart is missing, i should have a piece to replace it. There is a chip at the bottom of 1 door. The insides have light paw marks from a dog. 1 small piece of a festoon is missing. Please look at the pictures carefully.

Terms of Sale

I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.

About Us

My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting. Steve and Michelle
