Description:
Circa 1880-1900, a rare black silk hobble coat with 50” by 5” wide ornate jet beading on each side at the front of the coat.Measuring apprx.50” dpwn the front..apprx 62-62” down the back of the coat.16” to 16” shoulder to shoulder..apprx. 35-36” around chest, apprx. 30” around waist. There is a inner stay at front of the coat, and the top part has a brown chintz lining . There are jet buttons down the front, some of these have damage but perhaps restorer could work on these,one is missinga few loose threads on edge at back of coat,minor.There might be some missing jet beads but because this is so ornate.. minor. This coat is in quite amazingcondition, no wear and very strong condition.All items need to be cleaned unless we mention item has been laundered..
