A very unusual and beautiful clock, this description is very difficult for meas I do not know anything about clocks and I don\'t usually sell them.I purchased this clock from an sale sale, it was included with anumber of items that I do know about and sell. I didn\'t pay any attentionto the clock until I got home and started to examine all the items I had purchased.This clock intrigued me, I do not even know if it is in working order and Idare not attempt to explore it for fear I may cause damage, how ever I have gentlypulled out the winder and it does turn the hands on the clock face very smoothly. There is an embossed number at thevery bottom of the brass plate at the back of the clock which reads 36720and I am guessing there willbe a fragile and delicate movement inside so I will not attempt to wind it up.The clock is set is glass and brass and sits on a marble or alabaster base.Externally it is in excellent condition, no cracks or faults and it certainlyappears to me as if a previous owner has been very careful and looked after it.As I have said I do not know if it is in working order but if it is not, I wouldthink it would only take a minute or two to be adjusted by a professionalclock/watch repairer. Excluding ball feet and fine plinth the clock measures just 10cm by 7cm
