***THIS IS ANOTHER WONDERFUL ANTIQUE BUTTON OUT OF A FABULOUS
BATON ROUGE/NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA ESTATE
THAT I ACQUIRED SEVERAL YEARS AGO-
ALL OF THE BUTTONS IN THIS COLLECTION WERE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION,
AND SPANNED A TIME PERIOD FROM
BEFORE THE ORIGINAL COLLECTOR WAS BORN IN 1850,
(SOME ARE AS OLD AS THE LATE 18th CENTURY)
THROUGH THE 1930\'S***
THIS IS A COOL OLD SOLID COAL BLACK BUTTON THAT WAS LISTED IN THE ABOVE COLLECTION AS BEING \"GUTTA BALATA\", WHICH IS BASICALLY THE SAME INDIA RUBBER AS GUTTA PERCHA-IT MEASURES 9/16\" IN DIAMETER AND FEATURES AN INLAID PEARL DOT FRAMED BY A BRASS SQUARE RIGHT IN THE CENTER ON TOP-IT HAS A MOLDED THREAD-GROOVED SELF SHANK AND IT IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION---
