Antique fairs item no history........SOLD AS PARTS OR REPAIR......2 Items.......#1 Chelsea Clock Co. Boston...Chelsea Ships Bell Clock.....pat. dates Oct.24 1898....Sept. 19 1899....June 5 1900 also Great Britain May 31 1900.......movement and heavy brass case have the identical serial no.194890.....threaded dial bezel not hinged.......case foundry date stamp Dec.31 1901.......other than tarnish the case is sound........the movement has a broken pivot on the balance staff but does have a good spring and balance,the verge is missing both paddles,the tiny inserts that slip into the verge to capture the escape wheel......has power on both springs.......bell functions but striking hammer will need to be adjusted to strike coil gong properly, now its too close.....Will Need Cleaning and Adjustment..........#2 is a Chelsea brass barometer.......foundry date stamp Dec.31 1901........serial # 689699...........internal mechanism is made in France, threaded bezel but missing the glass, working condition unknown,will for sure need a good cleaning ........Questions ? .............SOLD AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR........ NO RETURNS..........
