Button is 2 5/16\" in size. Very good condition with wear to back due to age.

The year 1992 was the first election that the Democratic candidate did not flood the country with the usual pins. It was left to each county Democrat executive commission to buy from the manufacturer and to give to those who came by the offices to request one. The main campaign used the funds for bus rides, television ads, etc. to get the word out about the candidate. I was the campaign chair for the local executive commission and had finally given in to the request to buy from the manufacturer and sell the buttons to those who requested them. I sold 190 at $10.00 each of the buttons, which is now up for sale. As the years go by, as with other political buttons, this button will increase in value. One reason being is that President Clinton was the first and last President to leave office with a balanced budget and a surplus. His popularity at end of office was at 57%, this after the Republican Congress impeached him, he was then shortly acquitted by the Senate. He still maintains his popularity today after 23 years.
