These two Betsy McCall dolls have such pretty faces with excellent cheek color, beautiful eyes with molded lashes and painted lashes on the bottom of the eye, and good saran wigs which appear to be original to these dolls. Such a shame that there is damage to each doll.......
The brunette has a few small holes or dents which appear to be the result of an animal\'s teeth. Probably a dog. There are two in front--one at the corner of the left eye and one in the mid chest. There are three in back-- in the upper back.
The blonde has a more serious problem. She is missing the bottoms of her legs. How did that happen? I don\'t know. These two dolls were found in the \'Big Box.\'
There was a little felt hat in that \'Big Box\' also. I assumed it would go with one of these dolls. It is made of felt.It has a black ribbon that goes around the bottom of the crown and is stapled in the back. The rust residue you see on top of the hat is made from the pin that came with the hat. Apparently, there was moisture in the storage of this hat.....
Both dolls have the Betsy McCall logo stamped on the small of their backs. It reads: MCCALL CO and some other letters I can\'t read. It is all written within a circle.
