Please READ carefully ! This is an old Cairn\'s & Bro. leather fire helmet, no paper size label, I NORMALLY WORE A LARGE, but fits me like a medium... it is a little snug on me, and could quite possibly be a true medium size helmet. No major defects at all, great looking re-paint appearance, but apparently the repaint was not completed under the helmet, as it still shows some red paint. The helmet itself is in very nice condition for its age, with minimal cracking from use. No wire showing, very sound helmet... NEW YORK MADE, metal Cairn\'s disc has NO date letter code. Again, It\'s apparently repainted, but shows well for display. Great brass, Liner is worn, but in-tact, has earflaps. The leather front shield is a custom-made, hand made NYFD replica leather front that I personally made myself. I added this custom made front to this helmet and had it in my own helmet display at home, but I am downsizing my collection to pay some bills. This helmet looks wonderful with the custom Lt Truck #13 front I made, which was made from 100 % veg tanned leather, which gives it that vintage Cairn\'s stylish appearance from days gone by. My leather vintage style fronts can be found on social media, where I often display my replica fronts and custom orders. This helmet would make a fine display helmet in any collection, and I hope you like my leather front work as well. Please No P.O. boxes, and No International sales. Helmet is being sold as a collectible, as-is and NO RETURNS. If you didn\'t read this description, shame on you, because you wont truly understand what I am listing, so please read carefully, and again, as this front is NOT an original FDNY front.
