Found at an estate sale, this copy of the Civil War classic \"Campfires and Battlefields: A Pictorial Narrative of the Civil War\" by Rossiter Johnson has a pencilled annotation on front free endpaper but is otherwise in very good condition. This book was published in 1967 by The Civil War Press (NY) and is 532 pages long. This is the December, 1977 printing. This is a large, heavy book (a \"coffee table book\") with over 1000 black and white photographs and illustrations, many of them full-page, as well as a detailed and interesting account of the Civil War from beginning to end. It weighs 5 lbs. 6 oz. and measures 13\" x 10.5\" x 1.75\". As mentioned above, it has a pencilled annotation inside the front cover but no owner\'s name or other marks. No missing, soiled, torn, or dog-eared pages.
