Up for sale isaCirca 1900,Hand Painted Roses Fine China Footed Open Salt Cellar Dip.

This charminglittle circa 1900 open salt is made of fine bone white china and most likelyEuropean. It round in shape with a lowprofile and shallow bowl and stands on five scalloped feet. The interior of the bowl is hand painted withthree groups of pretty pink roses with green leaves. It has a beaded rim that is accented in goldand more gold embellishments to the sides and legs. A similar salt can be seen in 5,000 OpenSalts (#1404) by Heacock & Johnson.It measures 1/2” high, 1-3/4” in diameter at the rim and 2-1/4” wide atthe base. It is in excellent conditionwith no chips, cracks or repairs, only one tiny nick/rough spot to the bottomof one foot and all of the decorations in lovely condition.
