This is a nice reproduction of a Union Army Civil War Officer\'s Overcoat as worn by (at the time of the Battle of Fredericksburg) Lt. Col. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain - Very, very nice all around and a great example of the costumes used in the making of the movie \"Gods & Generals\". Your coat will come WITH these exact toggles and ties as the closure and as seen in the photos.

Made of a nice soft dark blue wool. Rank \"chicken guts\" in black on the bottom sleeves. Has limited \"age\" to the coat (has been dry cleaned as I found the receiptfrom Western Costumes showing it was cleaned after filming), and it looks as if the lining was removed from the coat to be worn during filming - I imagine it would get hot with this many layers and you would never see the lining in the movie while it is worn. Would still be warm in the cold however!

WORN by actor Jeff Daniels as he portrayed Lt. Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain during the Battle of Fredericksburg Battle sequence in the film. Images attached of the actor wearing this coat in the final movie.

Measured around the body to a 60\" chest. Very large coat (made to go over other coats of course) and it is also LONG... 51\" from bottom of neck to bottom of the coat -- Unlined.
