~.~ Gold Berry Faerie Fantasy Pin Cushion ~.~ is a pin cushion designed by Janie Comito, created from deep and light hues of violet ultra suede, hand sewn in contrasting gussets and embroidered with a tracery of gold tone metallic thread leaves and tiny gold luster glass \'berry\' beads. A beautiful gold luster molded glass button from the early 1900s decorates the center of the cushion. The metal gold tone hedgehog stick pin, inset with tiny sparkling rhinestones is vintage and in perfect condition. Included are three gold colored pearl head pins. The pincushion is 1 3/4\" across x 2\" tall and firmly filled with wool and chopped wool felt.

The pin cushion will come gift boxed and the artist’s original hand illustrated tag is included with date and signature.

To introduce the Artist ~

I’m Janie Comito ~ designer, collector, artisan and appreciator of things lovely and fanciful. I have been internationally known for 38 years ~ chiefly for my miniature teddy bear designs. More recently I\'ve turnedmy talent to designing and creating folk and fantasy art ~ and other decorativeobjects. For several years I’ve specialized in creating a series of sewing objects inspired by wonderful vintage ones I’ve collected overthe years. Some like this one are old ideas that I\'ve applied my ownunique spin to. (Acorns are a special favorite ~ I have been creating them since the \'90s.) All my creations are meticulously hand sewn by me andare as beautifully made as I can contrive to make them. They are lovely to collect and make terrificgifts for someone you love who lovesbeautifully crafted objects.
