I have priced this truly exquisite classic and tasteful kimono and slip etc. FAR below their retail value.
The rather amateurish photos don\'t do justice to this kimono....it\'s quality and classic beauty really must be seen to be appreciated. Sorry about the photos - light creasing etc..... it\'s pefect and lovely.

MATERIAL: KIMONO - SILK (fabric has tone-on-tone background of clouds) Printed - with beautiful colours, a lot of gold and gold- thread embellishments LINING - SILK - Off-white (with tone-on-tone background of clouds i.e. matcheskimono) The edges of the lining are ‘brushed’ with soft orange to match/compliment that colouring in the kimono’s print. THE UNDER-KIMONO ( SLIP - JUBAN)

This kimono with long-flowing sleeves (sode), was purchased several years ago during a business trip to Japan. IT HAS NEVER BEEN WORNand has been carefully stored, folded in its original paper in a box inside a cedar chest. IT IS ABSOLUTELY AS NEW, totally without any damage, fading etc. (I have not tried to iron out some creases/folds which appear in the photos. )
The colours are absolutely gorgeous. Meticulous workmanship and finishing. The kimono background is a soft very warm medium- honey shade of yellow - with brilliant flowers and leaves etc.in white, russet, deep orange, soft brown and green shades. There is a lot of gold-pattern-accenting and beautiful gold-thread braid outlining the detail of the larger chrysanthemums etc. The silk fabric has a tone-on-tone ‘cloud’ pattern background. This ‘cloud background’ is repeated in the off-white lining which has some warm-orange tone ‘brushing’ accents on the edges as shown in the photos. The bottom edge is protected with a hem guard - “fuki”.
I have tried to show the beauty of this kimono but apologise that the photos don’t really reflect the loveliness of thesoft silk fabric and the richness of the wonderful pattern work.
