This 1991 Box set of remastered re-issues was also loaded with previously unreleased tracks deleted from previously edited releases. It contains \"Jimi Plays Monterey\" (US Version) with Extended Intro and Tune-ups / Chats, the \"Live at Winterland\" release, but not the three additional tracks from the Ryko \'Live At Winterland +3\', a revised version of \"Band of Gypsys\" with all the Fillmore tracks from \'\'Band of Gypsys II\'\' in their proper place, and the then new \"Live - Isle of Wight \'70\" release which had seven previously unreleased tracks. It was part of a spate of Polydor releases from Alan Douglas\' last years of control of the Hendrix catalogue, and a very good one, unfortunately, it was eclipsed here in the U.S. by several other Hendrix box-sets at the time that had wider distribution, such as \'Stages\' and \'Lifelines - The Jimi-Hendrix-Story.\' It is easily an equal to either one.
