LOVELY GOLD ENCRUSTED ARTIST SIGNED HAND PAINTED CAKE PLATE, POSS LS&S LIMOGES:

This gorgeous 10 inch cake plate features an explosion of bold and bright chrysanthemums against a pale green and blue background. It is beautifully hand painted.
Though it is unmarked, this design has been identified as possibly being by the respected Limoges firm LS&S, or Lewis Strauss and Sons, which produced high qualityporcelain in France and inotherEuropean countries. The firm is also known as Lazarus Strauss & Sons.
The talented artist - H. Atwill - has signed the reverse.
The plate is in fantastic condition, especially considering its age and fragile material. Thereare no cracks, nicks, chips, stains, repairs, crazing or utensil marks, and the gold is entirely intact.
All in all, a superb plate.
