Stunning large antique gilt mantle clock

Mid to late Victorian with French movement chiming on a silvered bell on the hour and half hour

The gilt metal case is in beautiful original condition and id very ornate and elaborate

Stands on shell and ornate feet with elaborate swags, wreaths of flowers and husks

Central shield to the middle of a torchere

Greekgoddess sat on an empire stool with a wreath in one hand and pan pipes in the other

A classical urn to the top of the movement

The movement is a very good quality French movement back stamped Japy Frères in a circular medallion 1844 - 1849

The number on the back plate reads \'928\' which matches with the number of the original pendulum

Ceramic dial in very good condition with Roman numerals and steel hands

Clock is supplied with original key

Clock stands 13 inches(32cm) high 18 inches wide(44cm) and 6 inches(15cm) deep

This is a very impressive mantle clock with presence
