This sale is for: ONE Grass 840-12 ZINC dye-cast hinge, in New Condition. Totally cleaned (picture is of actual hinge).
These hinges come with the built-in mounting plate that creates an 1/2\" overlay Markings on hinge: \"GRASS\", \"Made in Austria\", \"840\", \"US PAT.NO 4.368.558\" and \"G*\" and \"840-12 zn\" on the square plate.Note: The bore distance on you door (the distance that the large hole is away from the edge of the door) determines the actual overlay. It could be probably +1/8 or -1/16 different than the intended 1/2\", depending on your actual bore distance. A test block with 1/8\" bore distance produces a little over 1/2\" overlay (about 17/32\").If your hinge says \"840-12\" or \"840-12zn\", then this is the hinge you need.
