The item on sale is a WWII ASTRA black leather holster. This type of weapon was used by the portuguese army but mainly by paramilitar armed forces such as PSP (Policia de Segurança Pública) and LP (Legião Portuguesa) - portuguese ditactorship repression / informations forces.
I believe due to its excellent condition that this holster has been used by LP since this paramilitar force was a backup of the PIDE (Political Police) mainly as informers . So the weapons that they bear were mainly used during parades and force displays
