ORIGINAL WW1 ROYAL FLYING CORPS LEATHER FLYING HELMET AND GLOVES:

This is a WW1 British flying helmet, the type used by members of the Royal Flying Corps, along with the helmet is a pair of original leather flying gloves or gauntlets.

The leather on the helmet is flaking in places, the chin strap has been replaced/repaired at some stage, there is some damage to the leather, the snap on the peak is broken but the peak can still be folded up.

The gloves have a snap marked \'English Make\' there is also a very faint makers mark in the leather but I cannot make it out. Like the helmet the leather has flaked, the flaking appears to on the back as the leather finish remains on the inside of the hands and fingers. Like the helmet the gloves also have a similar wool/shearling lining.

All in all even though the leather is flaking they display well together and are priced to sell.
