Henri Delavallee was a Post-Impressionist artist and a member of the Pont Aven artists colony, the subject of this beautiful original piece.
He studied art and painting in Paris at Sorbonne and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts under the finest artists of the period.
He was encouraged to travel to the Brittany region and eventually settled in Pont Aven, where he would meet Paul Gauguin and Emile Bernard.
He was born in Reims in 1862 and died in Pont Aven in 1943.
He was a prolific painter and has brilliant sale sale history.
His works have been sold at Christies, Sotheby\'s and many other sale houses worldwide and prices have exceeded $50,000 USD.
Framed it measure approximately 30\"x24\" and the actual art is 20\"x19\".
