\"Please Read Entire Description Before offerding\"Up for offer is a Civil War Ladder Badge Volunteer Cavalry Shield from a post Civil War Veterans Ladder Badge. I believe these were made out of Nickel/Silver. The Shield appears to be in great condition with nice patina \"see pictures for overall condition\". One of the clasps/connectors is still attached. The engraved shield has a very nice design. This would be a Great Historical piece by itself or a great opportunity to complete a ladder badge that is missing it\'s shield. The Shield was found in Northern Wisconsin near the Minnesota border. Though there are a few different states I have seen use this Shield design from the North and South that it could have originated from. The Shield will come in a top loader and soft sleeve for protection and display (pictured). For every Ladder Badge made was a soldier that had to Endure the War.
