RARE!! **MUSEUM QUALITY!!**
Directly from an estate. Magnificent black crushed velvet 3/4 length coat from the late 1880\'s, an ideal coat worn during late mourning. From a wealthy estate, the detail on this is fabulous and all intact! It fastens down the front with hooks and eyes.
It boasts soutache trim, woven covered buttons, a silk neck bow and a black dangling tassel from one of the front buttons. In amazing condition for the age, this is one for the paparazzi. No rips or stains, in wonderful condition, with the exception of one pin hole on the neck sash, and some small rubbing of the velvet at the back shoulder/neck area. From a smoke free home. Priced for it\'s rarity. It would make a spectacular Steampunk coat!!
