Up for sale isan original rare psychedelic poster, plus two original handbills pertaining tothe presidential campaign concert event, S.R.O. for R.F.K. [Standing Room Onlyfor Robert F. Kennedy] at the Los Angeles Sports Arena, May 24, 1968. This event featured The Byrds (one of the fewByrds shows to including Gram Parsons), Mahalia Jackson, Sonny & Cher,Roosevelt Grier, plus many others. Thisevent took place only several weeks prior to Kennedy’s assassination on June 6,1968 in Los Angeles.

First, is anOriginal Psychedelic Rock Concert/Campaign Event Poster for SRO for RFK,Friday, May 24, 1968 at the L.A. Sports Arena.This includes the listing of The Byrds, Sonny & Cher, MahaliaJackson, Roosevelt Grier on the poster.Designed by Mortimer. Poster isin excellent minus condition with some light wear and creasing to the corners –but overall, an attractive and scarce Kennedy Campaign poster. Printed on heavy stock cardboard; measuresh-17 x w-11 inches.

Second, is anOriginal Handbill which includes a b/w portrait of Kennedy with a listing ofthose who would be appearing including:Sonny & Cher, Mahalia Jackson, Henry Mancini, Angie Dickenson, CarolChanning, Andy Williams and others. Thisalso includes a ticket ordering stub on the right portion to be filled andmailed to the S.R.O. Committee to obtain event tickets. Printed on thin white paper, only a smallamount of handling –otherwise excellent condition. Measures h-8 ½ x w-13 inches.

Third, is anOriginal Handbill “Meet Senator Kennedy” which discusses two events forcontributors to meet Senator Kennedy, one sponsored by the Orange CountyKennedy for President Committee and the other is the May 24, 1968 S.R.O.,“star-studded gala to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena”. Excellent condition with two horizontalslight mailing creases. Measures h-8 ½ x w-5 ½ inches.
