Offered is this rare slabbedJuan Ballesteros silverone real cob that is not a shipwreck coin. The coin was minted between 1598 and 1602 and sharply struck on both sides. TheB for assayer Juan Ballesteroscan be seen in the upperleft corner at the front under the P for PotosiMint .
The coin was minted in Bolivia at the Potosi Mint.. The obverse has theHapsburg Shielddesign. The reverse has a Greek Cross. Weight is 3.1 grams and is 21mm or about the same size as a U.S. Nickel. It is nicely centered with a full shield and fullcross. .
