Exceptional Art Deco at its finest by Ostby Barton. This beautiful sterling silver bangled, slide bracelet is intricately designed with an approximate 13ct. (17mm x 13mm) glass, beautifully faceted center piece that replicates synthetic light amethyst, which was at its peak in the Art Deco era! Ostby & Barton was a very successful jewelry firm in Providence, Rhode Island, founded in 1879. Firms owner Mr.Ostby perished on the Titanic in 1912 at the age of 65. Firms jewelry became highly sought after by collectors around the world and is HIGHLY sought after for what is left today!! It is a fine example of early 20th century American craftsmen\'s work as only Englehart Ostby could design, which makes these pieces so desirable and sought after.
