Charlie Chaplin inspired doll, depicts him asthe Little Tramp, the film role that made him famous, in his signature blue waist jacket, black pants, redtie and black bowler hat. He is all tin except for his feet, which are heavymetal, which helps to ground him when he walks. He has been tested and is in working condition!
He moves back and forth at the waist, whichpropels him along. He is basically original, made between 1915 and 1920, and isin very nice shape. He does have a replacement wire cane (looks good).
There are no broken or missing parts (other than the cane). There is some minor flecking on some of the painted parts (coat, mostly) and some loss of paint on the nose. Not bad for a100 year old toy. He is just over 8 inches tall, displays very well and shouldmake a great addition to your vintage tin German windup toy collection.
