Early 1900\'s porcelain from Bohemia is much sought after for its beauty, workmanship and mixture of classicism and the romantic shades of the Art Nouveau movement of the time.

Artist Ernst Whaliss signed the protrait.

the raven haired beauty model has been immortalized in soft shades of peaches and cream on a brown speckled background. She is surrounded by a gilded & beaded oval band of gold, then delicately painted garlands on a brilliant cobalt vase. The gild on the handles of the vase has been brushed with suggestions of the shape underneath instead of the heavy massive gold bands favoured in recent times. It is a delicate piece
CONDITION: Estate quality - as mentioned above - the outside is close to original color and style. Inside a thin line on the side of the vase totally invisible to the outside eye. No dents, chips or crazing.
