It is a beautiful reproduction of an antique Russian Orthodox crucifix, made of finebrass, solidly cast in the lost wax style. The cross measures 41/4” long , including attachment slot but not the original finebrass holding loop on top (which is 1/2”in diameter), 2 1/4”wide, and weighs a substantial 71 grams. All the iconography oforiental crucifixes is present both front and back. I believe this isa a fine reproduction made within the past 50 years of an ancientcrucifix. It was given anonymously by an Orthodox priest to areligious community in my area. Condition graded Very Fine, but witha slightly worn look to it, probably duplicating the original in thecasting process- a collectible crucifix at a sale price.
