Here is a Nice 1783 Carlos III 2 Reales Silver Coin. Countermarked with \"GW\". As Stated in Gregory G. Brunk Manuscript Volumes, \"Scarce Colonials and early American Silver Coins were Counterstamped with \"GW\" in the late 19th or early 20th century to try to give the GW stamp a legitimate status. Such a practice of Countermarking a few Genuinely rare coins to legitimize a fantasy series was not uncommon during a period of comparatively low coin values. Very Scarce! and a Highly Collectible Countermark.
